Welcome to Pack 564’s Monthly Hiking Challenge!
We are excited to offer our new Monthly Hiking Challenge. Each month we will recommend one or more trails that you may hike with your family or a small group. These hikes will count as miles towards Pack 564’s Hiking Club.
In order to earn credit towards the hiking club, Scouts will need to complete at least one monthly hike and then submit the form below. Make sure you pack your Six Essentials, observe nature, and take photos.
December 2024 Hike
December’s Hiking Challenge will take place at Lilburn Greenway Trail on Sunday, December 21st, at 2pm.
This month we will hike about 1.75 miles of the Greenway Trail in Lilburn. We will meet at Lilburn City Park at this Google Maps pin location:

Stone Mountain Songbird Trail
Stone Mountain Park’s Songbird Habitat sits on the site of the former 1996 Summer Olympic Games venue for Archery and Cycling. The Woodland Trail and Meadow Trails each take you on a one-mile journey into the home for beautiful birds such as the Eastern Bluebird, White-Breasted Nuthatch, and Northern Cardinal. The Songbird Habitat is located on the backside of the mountain off of Stonewall Jackson Drive.
In order to maintain the beauty of the Songbird Habitat & Trail, please no dogs allowed.

Panola Mountain
Arabia Mountain Heritage Area and Panola. Outcrop Trail which is a 3/4 mile loop, plus the Watershed Trail which is 1.25 miles. All together is just over 2 miles, beginning and ending near a restroom.

Laurel Ridge Trail
The trail is called “Laurel Ridge”. The whole trail is 4.2 miles but walk as long as you like on the trail. The trail is a loop and will bring you back to the parking area.
